  • Store item listings, trade history, and reviews in the database (e.g., Supabase).

  • Enable referrals and track boost expirations.

Notifications: Send in-app alerts for matches, messages, or trade suggestions (based on preferences). Analytics: Analyze usage to improve App features and user experience. Moderation: Review reported content for Terms of Service compliance.

4. Data Processing and Storage

Photo Handling: Images stripped of EXIF data for privacy, stored on secure servers (e.g., Supabase). Database: User data, items, trades, chats, and reports stored securely. Retention: Data retained until account deletion; expired chats (14 days inactive) removed; trade history kept for "Trade Journey" unless deleted; analytics data retained for up to 24 months for performance insights. Security: Data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest; passwords hashed. Data Minimization: We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve the App’s functionality.

5. Sharing Your Information

Publicly Shared:

  • Username, profile picture (if provided), ratings, badges, and item listings visible to other users.

  • Trade Journey posts (if shared) include selected trade details and item photos.

With Service Providers:

  • Hosting platforms for App deployment.

  • Database services for data storage, which may process data outside Canada, compliant with PIPEDA and GDPR.

  • Analytics providers for anonymized usage data.

Legal Compliance: Data shared if required by law or to protect App/users (e.g., reports to paprclipr.com/support for review). No Third-Party Sales: We do not sell your personal information.

6. Your Choices
  • Account Deletion: Permanently delete account, items, and data via Account Settings.

  • Geolocation: Opt out of location sharing (disables matchmaking).

  • Notifications: Toggle preferences for new matches or messages.

  • Profile Picture: Optional; default placeholder used if none provided.

  • Trade Journey: Choose which trades to share; reset selections after sharing.

7. Data Protection

Security Measures: Encryption, secure servers, and access controls protect your data. Photo Privacy: EXIF data stripped from uploaded images. Report Handling: Reports (e.g., for illicit items) logged securely; no personal data exposed. Breach Notification: Users notified within 72 hours of a confirmed data breach, per PIPEDA requirements.

8. Children’s Privacy

Users under 13 are not permitted. Users 13–18 require parental consent, per PIPEDA, COPPA, and GDPR-K. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Compliance with Platform Policies

Aligns with Google Play Developer Program Policies and Apple App Store Review Guidelines. User-generated content (e.g., item photos, descriptions) moderated for compliance. Secure data handling meets platform requirements for privacy and security.

10. International Users

Data processed in Canada and potentially the United States via service providers, compliant with PIPEDA for Canadian users and GDPR for EU users. Users outside Canada consent to data transfer to Canada/U.S.

  • Deletion: Delete account to remove all data.

12. Cookies and Tracking

No cookies used in the App. Analytics use anonymized identifiers; no cross-app tracking. Do Not Track (DNT): The App does not respond to DNT signals, as no tracking cookies are used.
